Takuro SugiyamaTakuro Sugiyama is a Japanese artist born in the 80s. When I first saw his works at his solo exhibition "Hyper-Geometrism" at YOD gallery in Nishi-Temma Osaka, I was overwhelmed by the marvelous spaces in the canvases.
Kosuge 1-16KOSUGE 1-16 is an artist unit comprised of Takashi Tsuchiya & Chishino Kurumada. Based in Tokyo, they are well known for their unique artworks such as the huge table soccer game.
Natsuki MachidaLast year in March there was a exhibition at YOD Gallery which really put its viewers on edge; brightly painted pictures of young innocent girls with flowers in place of their eyes, pouring out into the background and foregrounds. It was cuteness mixed with a good dose of creepiness. We caught up with the artist, Natsuki Machida, to find out more about these works, and to hear about her upcoming exhibition.
